Byrnwyck Community Association Announcementshttp://byrnwyck.org/Announcements.aspxSafety in Byrnwyckhttp://byrnwyck.org/Announcement.aspx?id=586<div>As many of you have heard, there was a theft of a car this week in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, this is the second situation where someone has entered the premise of a house. While I do not want to create a sense of panic, we do need to be aware of what is happening in our neighborhood.</div> <div> </div> <div>There has been a couple of questions asking about the Board's actions in regards to these recent incidents and the actions that we are taking.</div> <div> </div> <div>First, we do recognize that there is a growing problem. What started as theft from unlocked cars and relatively minor vandalism at the pool has taken a turn to one large act of vandalism at the pool and situations were people are entering homes.</div> <div> </div> <div>Second, we have asked Bill Meers to join the Board as a safety coordinator. Bill will take the lead in working with DeKalb county to address the speeding issue and safety concerns. Bill will be reaching out to neighbors to actively seek ideas and support, so please be generous with you time as needed. We have talked about coordination with DeKalb police, video surveillance and some additional options.</div> <div> </div> <div>Third, we have asked DeKalb to perform additional patrols through the neighborhood and we will continue to do so.</div> <div> </div> <div>Finally, we need to recognize that we have to be aware of what is happening around us. When we implement a neighborhood watch, we have to recognize that it will be us watching out for our neighbors. So, while we do not have block captains in place today, please be aware that we are all block captains and we need to call attention to anything or person that looks suspicious.</div> <div> </div> <div>If you see anything that looks out of place, do not hesitate to call the police (404-294-2911). It is critical that we report all situations as soon as they happen. Also, please keep Bill informed. Note - Bill is not going to be our chief of police, but he will be able to work with all of us and the police to ensure that we have a safe neighborhood.</div> <div> </div> <div>Thanks</div> <div> </div> <div>Tom</div> <div> </div>Wed, 29 Oct 2008 08:53:24 GMTBoard Meeting dateshttp://byrnwyck.org/Announcement.aspx?id=401The contents of this announcement have been marked as private; you must sign in to view themThu, 29 May 2008 13:17:32 GMTPool Hours Locationhttp://byrnwyck.org/Announcement.aspx?id=376<p>Pool Hours can be found by clicking on General, then Events which leads to the calendar, then choose either All Categories or Swim.
